Ingesting Logs via Messenger
Forward Facebook Messenger messages to your log stream in real time.
The BunnyLogs Messenger bot forwards messages you send in a private conversation
to your log stream in real time. Any text you send to the bot becomes a log entry.
Setup
- Go to Settings and click Connect Messenger.
- You are redirected to Messenger and the BunnyLogs page opens with your account
pre-linked via a secure one-time token. If this is your first conversation, click
Get Started — otherwise the link is followed automatically.
- Once connected, any message you send to the BunnyLogs page in Messenger is
forwarded to your logspaces.
Routing modes
Each logspace has an independent Messenger routing setting, configured from its settings page:
| Mode | Behaviour |
| All messages |
Every message you send to the BunnyLogs page is forwarded to this logspace. |
| None |
Messenger forwarding is disabled for this logspace. |
Message field mapping
| BunnyLogs field | Source |
message | Message text |
program | messenger/<display name> |
level | Always INFO |
timestamp | Time the message was received (UTC) |
Notes
- Only text messages are forwarded; images, stickers, and other media are ignored.
- The bot only works in a 1-on-1 conversation with the BunnyLogs page — group chats are not supported by the Messenger Platform.
- To disconnect, click Disconnect in Settings. Your conversation history in Messenger is not affected.
